Leakage Model of Tubing and Casing Premium Connection Based on Sinusoidal Contact Simulation between Rough Surfaces

This paper proposed a semi-theoretical model to quantitatively predict leakage rate of tubing and casing premium connections. The geometric parameters the sealing surface profile approximated by sinusoidal micro-convex were first obtained based on random normal distribution sampling method. With actual area prediction formula for elastic–plastic contact an axisymmetric body equivalent simulation principle, circumferential width radial average height micro-leakage channel between surfaces then acquired with roughness mean pressure. At last, connection was derived considering non-uniform pressure surfaces. An example investigated validate reveal characteristics, anti-leakage measures proposed. results show that pressure, width, non-uniformly distributed. decreases exponentially increase in interference In order reduce rate, it is beneficial lower roughness.
